National Honor Society selection is based on four content areas: academics, service, leadership, and character.
To be eligible, a candidate must have a cumulative B average. All those academically eligible after the first semester of their junior year will receive an invitation to apply for membership. If an eligible student then wishes to do so, he or she should complete and return the accompanying form to the school by the due date, making sure to include all extracurricular activities, both in school and in the community, to be considered for membership.
A faculty council of five principal-appointed teachers who have direct knowledge of the applicants, with specific input of the entire faculty, makes the final decision on membership.
